This is a summary of the regular meeting of the Trustees.  The full minutes are confidential.  This summary is posted for your interest and information only.

Present: Chris & Heidi Cate, Norman Wright, Kerry Burkinshaw, Jacky Pett, Veronica Savage (BDC), Kevin Francis (GWPC)

• The annual return to the Charities Commission due by end of January 2011 has been submitted
• Sale of Memorial Hall is still with the buyer’s solicitors and they are being pressed for action
• Some of the Trustees met appropriate people at BDC to discuss how to proceed with the planning application.  Some useful strategies have been identified but need further investigation.  Some questions on plans for the hall in the light of other village hall developments locally were discussed.
• The Parish Council informed us that an expression of interest in allotments had been made.  This fits with our concept of a community garden (including fruit & veg.)  The PC were invited to introduce the people concerned to Jacky for further discussion.
• Chris reported back on the Reaching Communities funding training sessions (new scheme for the BIG National Lottery to be launched in December).  Key points were about having evidence for the need for our project and a good business plan. Decided that a set of focus groups would be needed to contribute to our evidence.
• Jacky presented the draft application to the Veolia Cre8 scheme for funding, due in by 1^st December.  Veronica’s help on this was greatly appreciated.
• Another fund-raising fete is proposed for August 2011 and a sub-committee has been formed.  It was agreed we should have an event with a 20s theme in the spring to celebrate and say farewell to the old Village Hall.  Heidi to discuss ideas with suitable venues for both events.
• The website is now up and running and posters suggested for the Post Office and Lenwade News.
