Summary of the Meeting of 18th January 2011

This is a summary of the regular meeting of the Trustees. The full minutes are confidential. This summary is posted for your interest and information only.
Present: Chris & Heidi Cate, Norman Wright, Kerry Burkinshaw, Jacky Pett, Nik Findlay
Memorial Hall
- We are due to complete the sale on 20th January
Big Lottery Reaching Communities Grant
- Due to postcode we cannot apply for this fund
- We will be writing to the organisers to present our concerns over the way the qualifications have been drawn up
Veolia Cre8/Other Grants
- We have applied for the Veolia Cre8 grant
- We did not qualify for WREN as we are outside their geographical area but we do qualify for BIFFA (based at Attlebridge). BIFFA main grant is between £5 and £50K but you can only apply once 50% of the budget has already been secured. A flagship project of £150-£500K exists but ‘flagship’ suggests no other projects of its kind exist in the region – our village hall project is therefore unlikely to qualify.
- We have a list of alternative funding organisations to consider
- There was a misunderstanding over the Grassroots money. It is no longer available.
Tea Dance
- Arrangements for the Tea Dance on 27th March were agreed.
AOB/Important Dates/Agree next meeting date
- A number of questions were raised by our Broadland contact regarding the planning permission issues which will be followed up.
Next meeting on Tuesday 22ndFebruary 2011
